Bangladesh Triathlon Association finished its national triathlon championships 2018. September 7-8, 2018 the championships happened in a district Jashore (Jessore). Around 37 clubs and services team with 100 junior, senior and kids has participated in this Championships.

In senior male Sazzad Hossain and in senior female Sumaiya Akter hold the title (both are from Ansaw VDP services team), in junior male Rayhan (Bogura Rana Triathlon Club) and in female junior female Tania Khatun (Jhenaidah Purbanchal Club) placed First.

Each category topper got medal and prize money, 1st place holder received cash BDT- 8000 with finisher and placed medal, 2nd place holder received cash BDT- 7000 with finisher and placed medal and 3rd place holder received cash BDT- 6000 with finisher and placed medal, accordingly up to 12the place holder of each category received cash and finisher medal.

With lots of difficulties it was a good start of official triathlon in Bangladesh. Organizer, participants, sponsors and guardians are hoping in future it will be more disciplined and could bring international prizes home.
